SHAMBO SHIVA SHAMBO TELUGU MOVIE

Movie :Shambo Shiva Shambo (2010)
Cast & Crew :: Raviteja, Priyamani & Allari Naresh
Music :: Sunder C Babu
Director :: Samudhirakani
Producer :: Bellamkonda Suresh
Release Date : 14-Jan-2010

The Story : Sambho Siva Sambho is a remake version of tamil movie Naadodigal and it is a Drama based movie in which, story revolves around four men and two women who live their life with utmost Joy and a Goal to Achieve.

Editorial Review
The real star of Sambho Siva Sambho is the set of exemplary performances by Ravi Teja, Allari Naresh, Priyamani, Siva Balaji, Priyamani, Sunil, and the sundry others who probably wait ages for these kinds of films in order to stretch their acting muscles to the point of perfection.

Sambho Siva Sambho, the film, however, begs to disagree. Putting pain on the centre stage, it parades it around like a trophy, decking it up with shock and anger. Pushing every other factor, every other sentiment, backstage.

It's all the more of a letdown because its first half outdoes with chutzpah and by miles, a lot of things you've seen of late. Karunakar (Ravi Teja), Malli (Allari Naresh) and Chandu (Siva Balaji) are thick friends from different sections of society, who are each on the threshold of starting bright new phases in their respective lives. Priyamani plays the love interest of the first, and Abhinaya, that of the last.

When Karunakar's friend Santosh walks into the scene with a piteous story of love torn apart by malevolent politician parents (Roja plays the mother of the boy, and Mukesh Rishi, the girl's dad), the three buddies actually risk their own lives to bring them together. The rest of the movie is about the repercussions of those supreme sacrifices these men end up making.

And while the first half builds up to a perfect crescendo, behaving like an adventure thriller done up classily, the second half is like watching an open wound go septic. The first half has thrills and plenty of understated but effective wit - thanks to Ravi Teja, Allari Naresh and Sunil. There's neither of these in the second - instead, there's intense physical pain, unwarranted death, heart-break, opportunities lost... the works.

Sambho Siva Sambho is pretty much a movie all decked up for the awards - the heavy theme, the slow and laborious building up of scenes, the tangential moods during the scenes. Surprisingly, the drama isn't that subtle, and gets high-pitched and intense. As the resentment quotient in the story grows, you actually have each actor screaming in agony/anger for prolonged periods of time.

For the actors, Sambho… is all meat, indeed set to shine on their already rich CVs. Ravi Teja is a dynamo as always, Allari Naresh is all set to glitter at the award functions, and Siva Balaji is pleasant to be around. Sunil is as vibrant as usual. Priyamani's minimal make-up and charged-up screen presence is an asset, but she's not around in the second half. The character artistes - Tanikella, Ahuti, Chandramohan and the rest, even Roja - are wonderful to watch. It's surprising to see so much comic potential wasted, though.

There's a lot of realism that the camera captures - and not necessarily in an arty way. Rajamundry and Kurnool are the key locations of the movie, and settings are authentic and pleasing, literally assisting in the story-telling. The cinematography and technical values are among the movie's strengths.

The music has plenty of intensity and depth, and the songs are soulful. The first song, set in a festive mela at Rajahmundry, gives away the Tamil influence. The effort looks inspired from Rahman, though.

No picnic, this. If you want to, watch it after the festival is done with, and don't take kids or your date along.

NAMO VENKATESA TELUGU MOVIE PREVIEW

The Story : Namo Venkatesa movie is a romantic movie with family drama, action sequences and tremendous entertainment value. In which, Venkatesh playing a role of Parvathaneni Venkata Ramana who is an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara. He is a man of positive thinking and a ventriloquist too.

Trisha is playing an important character in this movie and Brahmanandam doing the role of a Paris Prasad.

Cast & Crew
Director: Srinu Vytla Producer: Achanta Gopinath, Achanta Ramu, Anil Sunkara Music Director: Devi Sri Prasad
Release Date: 14 Jan 2010
Genre: Comedy - Romance
Language: Telugu
Certification: U

Story Line:

A formula entertainer, the story begins with Venkatramana (Venkatesh), an ardent devotee of Venkateswara Swamy and he has only one problem- marriage. He is not getting married but then he knows that there is a dream girl for him. He is ventriloquist and as part of it, he goes to Europe. There he finds his dream girl in the form of Pooja (Trisha). She is the niece of Paris Prasad (Brahmi) who is a rather cunning and sly character. He fools Venkatramana by saying Pooja is in love with him. Meanwhile, Pooja is brought back to India and her marriage is forcibly fixed with Bhadrappa (subbaraju), son of the fearsome factionist Changalraidu (mukesh). So does Venkatramana know the truth about his lovestory? Does Pooja get married to Bhadrappa? All this forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:

The director has come up with a predictable plot and though the presentation was good, the narrative could have been better. The dialogues were good, the script was okay and the screenplay was average. Background score was good but songs were a letdown. Cinematography was splendid. Costumes and art department were rich and made their strong presence. Editing could have been better during the second half. Fights were okay. Venkatesh carried his role effectively and it was his show all the way but then he was lacking the energy and spark that he had in his other movies.Trisha was looking pale and even her character didn’t have much to perform. Brahmanandam was the show stealer and few scenes of his were great, but then there were many places where he could have generated more humor. Mukesh Rishi, Jayaprakash Reddy, Subbaraju did what is required to get seriousness. Ali, Srinivas Reddy, M S Narayana, Dharmavarapu, Kasi Viswanath, master Bharat did their bit to add value but not much. The others didn’t have much to offer.
Conclusion:

This is a typical Srinu Vaitla film and for those who have seen his earlier ventures, this one would not be that great. While the first half looks promising, it is the second half that drags quite a bit and the climax is prolonged. Overall, the film runs well on the comedy aspect and technical values but it could have been crisp with some twists instead of running on a routine line. This will be an average grosser at the box office.

Tamil movie Kutty review, Songs, Trailer video

FULL CAST AND CREW

Production: Gemini Films Circuit
Release Date: 14 Jan 2010
Genre: Romance
Language: Tamil

FULL MOVIE REVIEW
Exactly a year after Padikkathavan, Dhanush is back for Pongal 2010 with Kutty, the remake of the Telugu super hit Arya which had featured Allu Arjun in the lead. Very clearly Kutty is not the regular Dhanush entertainer. Dhanush had tried the family and sentiment path in Yaradee Nee Mohini and had been quite successful at it. This time with the same man, who made Yaradee Nee Mohini, he has arrived with a theme of persisting with one’s love and hope even when all seems lost. In short, it is about how one man handles his ‘one side love’ and whether his faith ultimately pays off.

For a change, Kutty is a Dhanush film that does not show him as the irresponsible college student who doesn’t care about his studies or future, constantly gets taunted and verbally flayed by his parents and sometimes returns the criticism with some of his witty one- liners. He is the regular college guy with below average looks, low confidence and nothing much that gets him noticed. Shriya is a student in the same college and with her kind of looks she soon becomes the center of attention. While Kutty has already developed a soft corner for her in his heart, she is also in the dreams of one of the most popular guys in the college. The popular guy (Sameer Dattani) also has a very reputed family background. But, even with his kind of profile, it is tough to woo Shriya. He eventually manages

to, but not in the best possible manner and that is where one begins to doubt whether the romance will last. Surprisingly it does, but there are other problems. Marriage is not easy as there are people and forces opposing it. Who supports their love, who opposes it, how do they solve the problems in their life, does their love last through the troubles or does one of them back off when the going gets tough and most importantly what happens to Kutty and his love? Kutty answers this question.

The one factor that keeps the interest in the movie going is the uncertain direction of the relationship. We know for sure what is going on in the minds of Dhanush and Sameer Dattani, but we can't comprehend what Shriya is thinking which makes us unable to predict the direction in which the love triangle of sorts is heading, that is the biggest strength of the movie. But, there are also flaws that stop Kutty from touching our hearts. The screenplay does not pick up pace, it is a rather sedate movement of events throughout. Also, the romance, be it the Sameer - Shriya relationship or Dhanush's one-side feelings, don't really get the bells tolling in our hearts which stops us from wishing that a particular pair finally unite; in short, the romance(s) don't connect. The narration is linear and plain which can be assumed to be necessitated by the story which leaves the movie with innate limitations at providing fun and entertainment. Dhanush has tried to liven up the proceedings with his comedy. Though enjoyable in parts, it does not touch the standards that we have got used to in Dhanush starrers.

Dhanush has lived the role of Kutty, the simple and shy guy who longs for love. He is the major factor that makes the film work to an extent; it is hard to imagine anyone else in this role. Sameer Dattani does his part without leaving much of an impact. Shriya has got a break from the glamour routine for a change which is a relief, and looks fresh and cute. But, she has missed an opportunity to make her mark as a good actress. The climax portions offered scope for expressing emotional turmoil but she has failed to grab the chance, looking stone faced. Veteran Radha Ravi is his usual commanding self. Meghna Naidu appears in an item number and disappears without much effect, a wasted presence.

Technically, the movie does not offer anything special. It is a simple story with minimum requirements; the camera and editing departments have fulfilled them without making any great impression. The music is however a let down, the songs don't get the audience going. Mithran Jawahar has done quite a good job with the dialogues.

Kutty is a film that focuses on love and the ways in which it is expressed. It is definitely different from the regular commercial if you take into account that there is no over the top heroism or loud villains. The director has tried hard to make a feel good romantic flick and has partially succeeded. If you don't mind narration that is on the slow side more often than not and if you are willing to compromise a bit on entertainment for the central plot, then you might end up liking Kutt .

Naanayam Tamil Movie Review

Full Cast And Crew
Starring: : Sibiraj, Prasanna, SP Balasubramaniam, Ramya Raj.
Direction: Sakthi S Rajan
Music: James Vasanthan
Production: Capital Films
Release Date: 14 Jan 2010
Genre: Drama
Language: Tamil

Full Movie Review
A corrupt bank official sets a trap to get even with his blackmailer who in turn is so smart that he saves sensitive documents in the same bank the official is employed in. Naanayam’s premise provides enough scope for an edge-of-the-seat experience. The script employs countless twists and turns, although only a few of them really work – before which the damage of ruining it is already done.

On the other hand, stripped bare of its regionalization, Naanayam also feels like inspired from a vaguely familiar Hollywood movie although there’s no evidence to call it a Dead Ringer. We won’t be surprised if it’s one. After all, Hollywood is ridden with movies on bank robbery – and many of them clever and convincing.

SPB is the CEO of the Trust Bank, who gets into a complicated trouble and seeks Prasanna’s help to get out of the situation who in his mission to help SPB, gets embroiled in a deeper quagmire. How the duo gets out of the mess forms the rest of Naanayam.

SPB’s role is the central plot character of the movie and Prasanna’s role in the latter half contributes to the missing ‘Naanayam’ part of it. Prasanna’s role, as the virtuous

young man, is hardly new turf for him and the fact that he’s convincing isn’t at all surprising. Alternatively, Sibiraj’s role offers him very little; only that it’s different from his usual routine of lead roles.

Some of the movie’s escape tricks are very lame – for instance Ramya does a mix of pole-dance-cum-disco to evade the laser beams that protect the bank’s lockers. You simply wonder: whoever came up with that idea!!!

James Vasanthan’s songs are just about so-so and have no say in the movie’s progress. Thaman’s background score, however, peps up the scenes and provides it the required perkiness. Editing effects baffle the viewer in the name of novelty and appear more of an obstacle than helping with the movie’s flow.

In retrospect, despite all the odds, there’s one thing strikingly honest about the movie: its title. It doesn’t seem to be born out of the urge to appease the taxmen with Tamil titles, but serves as an ironic reminder of what is not present in the movie.

Aayirathil Oruvan Tamil Movie Review

Banner: Dream Valley Entertainment
Production: R Ravendran
Direction: Selvaraghavan
Star-casts: Karthi, Andrea, Reema Sen, Parthiban, Prathap Pothan, Azhagam Perumal and others.
Music: G.V. Prakash
Release Date: 14 Jan 2010
Genre: Action - Romance
Language: Tamil
Certification: U/A

MOVIE REVIEW:
If 2009 wasn’t a promising year for Tamil film industry, the same situation is persists with the Pongal releases as well. When the other release ‘Naanayam’ is a below average fare, ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ is not upto to the expectation, but its worth watching to see such a effort in a tamil movie.

The first half (92mins) is filled with usual Selvaraghavan factors like – double entendres, profanity and some more elements patently meant for winning the applause of frontbenchers and ‘C’ class audiences. As the tale proceeds towards the second half, it’s a pathetic scenario as Selvaraghavan stumbles and it makes movie a bit slow one.

First things first: we need to appreciate Selvaraghavan for conceptualizing a good tale of fiction. But he should’ve have pulled the names of two dynasties for the sake of attracting audiences (Though he screens a disclaimer that the film is not based on factual history of Chola dynasty, it cannot be entertained).

An archeologist (Prathap Pothan) is lost somewhere in a never-never land where the world believes that it was once a land ruled by Chola Kingdom. Sooner, his daughter (Andrea) an archeologist by profession, a forest officer (Reema Sen) and her team of armed defense groups are set out to unravel the mystery behind his loss.

To make sure that their journey through the untouched lands is comfortable, they hire local coolies lead by Sugumaran (Karthi). Soon the journey begins and it turns to be tougher than the team had actually predicted.

At the point of intermission, adventures literally transcend towards fantasy, thereby unraveling the hidden mysteries of preexisting dynasties of Chola and Pandian.

Let’s start off with analysis on directorial aspects….
Having set in the backdrops of a different genre, Selvaraghavan should’ve have neatly included the quotients that are essential to engross the audiences. But he seems to have made wrong perceptions altogether. As mentioned earlier, the first half is completely comprised with ‘Adult themes’, which is likely to be resent by family audiences and must-to-avoid for kids. Nonetheless in the second half, nothing seems to be termed as ‘perfect picture’ as the story shifts to darker side, where there’s nothing left for enjoyable vistas.

Musical score by G.V. Prakash is brilliant, especially with his background score. Cinematography by Ramji is good piece of artwork while Computer generated graphic works doesn’t engross us.

Aagathan Movie News:
The Siddhique movie 'Bodyguard' which was in the making for quite some time has already created enough problems for all associated with the film. The long drawn movie has upset the release schedules and shooting plans of many of his films and resulted in a year without any good film other than ‘Passenger’ for the star. The movie which was shot for over 100 days, has already exceeded the budget due to many breaks in shooting, unavailability of dates from lead stars and multiple schedules. However the movie is finally complete and was censored this week with a clean U certificate. ‘Bodyguard’ carry good pre-release talks and good marketing will ensure a hit for Dileep according to trade.

But problems just don't end there. 'Bodyguard' is scheduled to release on January 22 and another Dileep starrer 'Aagathan' directed by Kamal is also scheduled for the same day. Now the star and his well wishers are trying to push the release date of 'Aagathan' to at least a couple of weeks after ‘Body Guard’.
