“Waiting for Armageddon” explores the culture of 50 million American Evangelicals who believe that Bible prophecy dictates the future of mankind and that Israel and the Jewish people play pivotal roles in ensuring Christ’s return. The film raises questions regarding how this theology shapes U.S.- Middle East relations and how it may even encourage an international holy war.
Using intimate portraits and archival footage to explore how literal belief in Biblical prophecy – including the Rapture and Armageddon – exerts a dangerous influence on U.S. relations in the Middle East, Waiting for Armageddon tells its story through the eyes of three evangelical families who are certain that upon Christ’s Second Coming they will be “raptured” or lifted into the skies to join Christ while the rest of humanity suffers for seven years during “The Tribulation.”
The film then follows a Christian Study Tour group to Israel – among the tens of thousands of Evangelicals who pour into the Holy Land each year. The tourists are baptized in the River Jordon, sing the US national anthem on the Sea of Galilee, proclaim love for Israel, and describe how the Dome of the Rock, one of the holiest sites in Islam, must be destroyed in order for Jesus to return. A controversial, potentially explosive relationship between Christian Evangelicals, Jews, and Muslims emerges. At an evangelical conference in Dallas, Texas, the film ’s characters urge others to spread Biblical literalism and counter the dangerous effects of post-modernism. The climax of the gathering comes as Pastor John Hagee, the enormously influential Texas Minister of an 18,000-member mega-church, declares, “World War III has started.”

The Story : Samagama movie is all about family. Vishranth and Vidya are in lead roles.
Sri Sai Innovators fail to invoke any substance in this below average film ‘Samagama’. The need of the present genre and market demand is not given a thought in this carelessly made film. Of course there are two lovely songs and cinematography are good. But that cannot liftthe film in the box office.
The protagonist Jayanth and counterpart Nandini are family friends. Their respective fathers – Manjunatha Hegde and Ramakrishna are business partners running Dev Associates. As it goes Nandini is in love with Jayanth. The love affair thickens and enters the elders to smudge the love that blossomed. There is another young business baron who is accepted as the business partner by Ramakrishna and Manjunath Hegde. He is chosen as the bridegroom for Nandini. The problem starts now. Jayanth father Manjunath Hegde is averse to the proposal of his son because he came up in life because of his friend. He is not ready to divert the attention of his son Jayanth anymore to Nandini. But the friends of Nandini takes strong step as timid Jayanth is lost in the emotions of his father. Finally all ends well!
Vishranth in this film has failed to impress. He needs to go for some acting classes. Vidya the Mallu girl is the only main stay in this film. The veterans Ramakrishna, Manjunatha Hegde are impressive.
The song Munisu Tharave…..by veteran writer Subraya Chokkadi is the best among the four songs. Cinematography by Suresh Babu is another notable factor inthe film.

“Preethiya Theru” is a terrible attempt made by producer Lokesh Reddy to give his son Thanil the big break in the film world.
But Thanil somehow doesn’t show promise of becoming a good film hero. “Preethiya There” turns out to be a below average fare.
Apart from Thanil, the film also has his father Lokesh Reddy in a special role, but he too fails to make an impact. And Thanil’s younger brother is another addition to the list of bad actors in the movie.
Strangely, even experienced artists like Dharma, Sadhu Kokila and Mysore Ramanand seem utterly handicapped by the hackneyed plot.
The screenplay lacks logic and credibility in its content, the dialogues lack seriousness and director Prasad seems to have taken on too many responsibilities.
Prasad’s lack of experience in directing films is clearly visible in the way he has handled comedy and serious sequences alike.
To be fair to Prasad, one should appreciate his composing skills. “Deelappo Deelu” has all the ingredients to become a popular number, but Thanil’s movements in the dance sequence aren’t that great.Prasad should not have given a newcomer like Thanil a superhero image.
Thanil plays the role of a mentally disturbed man Shakthi, who threaten lovers because he had been ditched in love.
Preethi his lover is under the mistaken impression that Shakthi is in fact responsible for throwing acid at her friend. So she makes Shakthi believe that she is in love with him but ditches him on the day of the marriage.
So does Shakthi become normal again?
“Preethiya Theru” isn’t really worth watching. While technically it is average, the performances are a letdown.
