Srinath (Kannada: ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ್), real name Narayana Swamy (Kannada: ನಾರಾಯಣ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ), is a Kannada cinema actor and the vice-president of Kannada TV Channel Udaya TV. He is also popularly known for his anchoring in the Game Show, Adarsha Dampatigalu (Kannada: ಆದರ್ಶ ದಂಪತಿಗಳು), meant for married couples competing on which pair is the ideal. Srinath is generally called with the nick-name Pranaya Raja (means, King of Romance) because of his success in various movies involving the love stories.
Film life
Srinath, starting from his second film Anireekshita directed by Nagesh Baba, was recognised as an actor with potential and became a popular hero. He has acted in over 200 films.[citation needed] His major films include Besuge (ಬೆಸುಗೆ), Manasa Sarovara (ಮಾನಸ ಸರೋವರ), Shubha Mangala (ಶುಭ ಮಂಗಳ) and Bangarada Manushya (ಬಂಗಾರದ ಮನುಷ್ಯ). In 1980, he got the Best Actor Filmfare Award for the film Besuge. Srinath also won State Award as Best Actor for the film Sri Raghavendra Vaibhava.[2] Srinath was also preparing to direct a Kannada movie.[1]

In the 1970s, Hong Kong's rapacious landlords try to evict 72 tenants but sworn brothers Ha Kung (Eric Tsang) and Shek Kin (Jacky Cheung) helped the group of 72 defeat the landlord and landlady and coincidentally rescue Siu To Hung (Anita Yuen) from a planned forced marriage. When both sworn brothers fall for Siu To Hung and propose to her, she flips a coin and Ha wins her hand in marriage. The sworn brothers become sworn enemies and Shek's hatred fuels intense rivalry against Ha in business dealings. They continue to clash in 2010 and are in competition in the busiest street in the city, which is still home to the 72 tenants.

Referencing the Shaw Bros 1973 classic "The House Of 72 Tenants", the decidedly crowded "72 Tenants Of Prosperity" is a colourful (though not necessarily nutritious) addition to the Chinese New Year movie calendar which will invariably draw laughs among all followers of Hong Kong TV and cinema, especially those with a history of TVB fandom.

In this 2010 reupdate, the paedophile politicians and brothel owners are missing and they've been replaced by fish ball noodle hawkers and manga sellers. We get intermittent flashbacks to 70s HK where the events of Sai Yeung Choi Street originally took place: 72 tenants who battled greedy landlords, with a love triangle that gave rise to a family feud. In the present day, the feud continues with the same triangle still festering but now it's a full-on Romeo and Juliet adventure as the next generation start to commit inter-family relationships of their own.



Without detailing a plot that will ruin your fun, suffice to say you will catch very memorable appearances in this movie by a host of HK stars past and present. So Chan (Vincent Chiu) was a wealthy man obsessed with kung-fu who fell from grace after he and his family became the victims of conspiracies. The film represents Yuen’s first highly anticipated solo directing dig since 1996. It took well over a decade for action legend Yuen Woo-Ping to return to the director's seat, and he certainly hasn't chosen the easiest of subjects to tackle, either. That is because the hero of his upcoming wuxia 蘇乞兒 (True Legend) is none other than Beggar Su (the Su Qi Er of the title), one of the most famous names in the martial arts canon.



previously essayed by greats like Gordon Liu, Donnie Yen, Simon Yuen and Lau Kar-Leung. True Legend will star Vincent Zhao as the titular Su, a wealthy Qing dynasty patron who is falsely accused, ends up seeing his status and riches vanish into thin air, and eventually gets back on his feet through street cred and, well, ass-kicking, what else? Our future King of Beggars will have to share credits with a pretty interesting group of names, actually.

Gordon Liu and Michelle Yeoh need no introduction, but how about pop superstar Jay Chou in his first real fighting role, or budding MMA fighter Cung Le? How about one of mainland's finest talents, Zhou Xun, popular stars like Guo Xiaodong, and even one of the late David Carradine's final roles? Apparently, this film will use 3D cameras, but Yuen stressed that the action will be old-school.

FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: It's not even 2010 yet, but already we're counting down the days until "Valentine's Day" hits theaters. Ensemble romantic comedies tend to be some of the better rom-coms that are put out nowadays (look at this year's "He's Just Not That Into You" or our personal Christmas favorite, 2001's "Love Actually"), and even though we have some reservations on how this particular star-fest will hold up, it's still something we can't wait to see.



The second trailer (see it after the jump!) hit theaters over the weekend, and it's definitely showing off its aspect that is getting all the buzz: its massive cast. Watch online movie Story :Princess Pearl of Flowerland is sent to Midland at a young age to learn her ceremonials duties. Her mother, the Queen Mother misses her daughter very much that the King orders his sister, the princess, to return home. However, the princess has fallen in love with General Wing of the Midland army and is reluctant to part from him. As their boat approaches the Flowerland border, Pearl and Wing save the life of a girl named Ying, who seeks to throw herself into the sea after running away from an arrange marriage. Pearl, Wing and Ying are attacked by pirates and Pearl falls overboard in the ensuing chaos. On arrival in Flowerland, the King mistakes Ying for his sister, while Pearl is saved by Ying's father, Million.

Million is poverty stricken. He intends to force his daughter to honor the promise to marry the son (Chuen) of the literary minister Wu so that he can obtain gifts of money. Million realizes that Pearl is not his daughter, but as she is suffering from amnesla, he adopts the girl and takes her to see Wu. Wu's eldest daughter, Yau, is hot-tempered and practical woman. When she realizes Million has fallen on hard times, she immediately refuses to let them stay in their houses. Finally Wu agrees to let them stay in the servants' quarters until Chuen returns from the Imperial Examination to make his decision about marriage. Meanwhile, on the way to the Imperial Examination, Chuen meets and falls in love with Ying. He rejects Pearl and Wu is required to pay compensation to Million for the broken engagement. Taking advantage of the situation, Million asks for one million taels as compensation but Yau counters with just one tael.



In the palace, the King decides to select a prince consort for the princess. Wing realizes Ying is not who she says is and seeks Pearl. During his search, he meets Chuen and Yau. Yau is attracted to Wing and Chuen creates the opportunities for his sister by inviting Wing to stay in their house. At their house, Wing encounters Pearl, but she does not recognize him. Million discovers that Pearl is pregnant and reaches a hasty agreement on the compensation price with Yau.

To hide her pregnancy, Pearl is dressed as a man, but meets the King in this guise. The King feels such a strong affinity with the male Pearl that he proposes to make her prince consort. However, Wu also hope Chuen to become prince consort and arranges for him to enter the selection process as a contender.

This story of mistaken identity continues to explore the intertwined and hilarious relationship between the characters.

My Ex Thailand Movie Review :

It has always been a hit-or-miss affair with Thai horrors- there are those like "Shutter" and "4Bia" that have given us more fodder for nightmares; and then there are those like "Ghost Game" or "The Screen at Kamchanod" that are just a nightmare to sit through. Unfortunately, this latest from director Piyapan Choopetch fits squarely into the latter category.



One can only guess that the filmmakers had gotten their inspiration for this movie from the gossip pages of philandering celebrities, as its lead character Ken is just one such person. After impregnating the socialite Meen and cheating on her with another sweet college girl Bow, Ken is now dating the young co-star, Ploy, with whom he is shooting his new film. But it seems someone or something is following them around, as both Ken and Ploy start to see a woman appearing in the mirror at their backseat of their car, or walking along the corridors of their house, or intruding into their nightmares.

Yes, you know the drill, and "My Ex" doesn’t get any more inventive in the scare department. In fact, there isn’t a single frightening moment in the movie that you can’t already see coming at you, and seasoned horror veterans will no doubt groan in agony at the predictability of every supposed 'boo'. What "My Ex" lacks in originality it tries to make up for with needless amounts of gore. To local audiences, it only means that we have to put up with at least one abrupt cut, seeing as how the film has been trimmed for a more box-office friendly NC16 rating.

Watch movie Story : Every seven years a tournament takes place in an unsuspecting town where 30 of the world's deadliest killers battle to see who is best and for the ten million dollar cash prize. Returning champion Joshau Harlow (Ving Rhames) is back because he has been informed that one of this year's contestants is responsible for the death of his wife. Each contestant has a tracking marker surgically implanted inside them so that they (and the viewers) can track their opponents. The Tournament Hollywood Movie Review :

There is something about “The Tournament’s” straightforward premise that hints of a direct to home video movie- and in that regard, you wouldn’t be wrong. Just like the latest reboot of the Universal Soldier franchise that was released in cinemas last week, “The Tournament” is one of those direct to video action flicks that are enjoying the rare luxury of a theatrical release in Singapore.



Indeed, as you probably would have guessed, the setup of this assassin against assassin battle is no more than an excuse to execute some mayhem on screen, coupled with (as its M18 edited rating would suggest) copious amounts of bloodshed. Yes, it’s not really important who the characters are, or for that matter their motivations, since that really isn’t the point of the movie. The whole purpose of entering “The Tournament” is to enjoy some good-ol’ Hollywood-style implausible action, so the question really should be- does it deliver?

The answer, in this case, is a measured yes. Not all the action sequences (though they are plentiful) are as thrilling as the next, but the ones that do are genuinely entertaining. One of them involves martial arts star Scott Adkins, whom some may recognise from bit roles in movies such as “The Medallion”, “Unleashed” and “The Bourne Ultimatum”. Though his screen time here remains limited, his fight scene with Kelly Hu’s Oriental assassin Lai Lai Zhen in an abandoned church is undoubtedly one of the film’s best.

Watch movie Story : On the fringes of Dublin, Kylie and Dylan, two pre-teen kids, live next door to each other. One night they run away, and together they make their way to the magical night time lights of inner city Dublin, to search for Dylans brother, who ran away two years previously, in the hope of finding, through him, the possibility of a new life. Kisses Hollywood Movie Review :
Like last year's charming Irish city musical-romance "Once", Lance Daly taps into the big, bright, damning lights of Dublin to showcase the city's vibrancy and romance amidst the dark alleys and even darker characters that dwell there. The two young leads in “Kisses” – the looks-tough-but-fragile Dylan (Shane Curry) and his companion, the looks-fragile-but-tough Kylie (Kelly O'Neill) – possess the indomitable spirit of confidence in finding a better life away from the ones they find themselves born into. It's the sort of life that hardens the resolve to seek out anything wholly different from the podunk suburban hellhole of drunks, abusive relatives and dead-end existence that cyclically draws in parents and child alike. Dylan and Kylie are precociously cynical kids but still filled with the fleeting quality of innocence of believing that it will all change. Turns out – as the film quickly turns caustic in the depictions of family life – they have every right to be cynical and acutely aware of their dire surroundings.

Daly's keen eye for emotional states starts off superbly. The stark black and white cinematography of its opening act almost recalls the great social realism in British kitchen-sink dramas of the 1960s. Uncompromising in certain points and but riveting in its entirety, Daly conducts a suitably tense atmosphere from its inciting incident to Dylan and Kylie's eventual road trip to Dublin with a fistful of cash and no ideas about the trials awaiting them.



The cinematography subtly switches to a rich vein of colour, matching the cityscapes and saturating the screen with the ebullience of a realised freedom. They find that they could possibly achieve anything they want to when they are together. The two leads – Curry and O'Neill – are captivating in their guileless performances. They are honest and courageous and with the heavy accents and cursory enunciations adding to its natural charms and quality of genuineness, the film's best scenes come when they (and we) discover each other's strengths and qualities silently through the tribulations of poverty, crime and hopeless dread encapsulating their hopes.

The floodgates really have opened for the son of Poseidon. Just yesterday, we got a batch of video profiles for several characters in Percy Jackson andthe Lightning Thief. Now we have eight new clips.



Some of the footage here has popped up elsewhere before, but a surprising amount of it is new. Even with scenes like Mrs. Dodds morphing into a swooping Fury or the Hydra attack, which had been fairly extensively previewed before, there is more context. And some of the sequences are completely new. The opening clip, for example, which shows Percy (Logan Lerman) in a confrontation on top of a building, is a nice showcase for the more liquid special effects in the movie.
It’s been all quiet on the Spidey front after the flurry of news throughout January.

But the rumour mill's been cranking again, and yesterday reports hit that Logan Lerman, the titular star of next week’s Percy Jackson andthe Lightning Thief, is “in talks” to take on the rejuvenated role of Peter Parker.
