JU-ON: WHITE GHOST - In a certain house, a son who failed the bar examination kills five members of his family one by one. He then dies by hanging himself. The entire family is slaughtered. A former friend, Mirai, is murdered, her throat slit. In the midst of her despair, a young girl, Akane (Akina Minami), sees.

JU-ON: BLACK GHOST - Nurse Yuko (Ai Kago) is left in charge of a young girl named Fukie, and begins to experience strange things. Medical examination reveals that there is a 'cyst' in Fukie's body. The hatred of the unborn one is feeding off of the young girl and curses the people around her. This is the grudge of someone that could not be born. Filled with an unimaginable 'hatred', people are killed one after the other with a curse.

JU-ON: WHITE GHOST stars nineteen year old J-idol Akina Minami as Akane, a high school student who can sense supernatural phenomena. After failing the bar exam, a distraught young man murders his parents and siblings and then hangs himself. At the crime scene, police find an audio recording of the man and an unidentified female voice saying “Go now”.

One of the victims was the childhood friend of Akane’s. And now Akane keeps seeing a ghost in a yellow hat and carrying a red handbag just like she and her friend had back in elementary school…

Rounding out the cast for JU-ON: WHITE GHOST are Hiroki Suzuki (ENGINE SENTAI GO-ONGER VS GEKIRANGER), Mihiro (SHINJUKU SWAN), Aimi Nakamura (PERSONA), Marika Fukunaga (TOKYO GIRL), Akiko Hoshino (SAKURAN), Takuji Suzuki (writer and director of ONE PIECE!), Tsuyoshi Muro (SUMMER TIME MACHINE BLUES), and Ichirota Miyagawa (ULTRAMAN ZEARTH 2). According to Japanese reports, more than a dozen filmmakers were considered for the project before Shimizu and Ichise decided that Ryuta Miyake (the TALES OF TERROR FROM TOKYO series) would write and directthe film . It is based on a story by Takashi Shimizu and Kei Ooishi, author of the novelizations of JU-ON and the Korean films OLDBOY (2003) and THE UNINVITED (Sa Inyong Siktak, 2003).



JU-ON: BLACK GHOST stars former Morning Musume member Ai Kago as Yuko, a nurse caring for a young girl named Fukie who has a cyst growing inside her body. The cyst turns out to be the grudge of Fukie’s unborn twin, and soon the curse spreads to her father, transforming him into a homicidal madman. When Fukie’s sister and mother trying to stop the Ju-On it retaliates with even greater fury.

The film was directed by Mari Asato (SAMURAI CHICKS) and is also based on the stories of Takashi Shimizu and Kei Ooishi.

In addition to Ai Kago, JU-ON: BLACK GHOST stars Koji Seto (MASKED RIDER DEN-O & KIVA THE MOVIE), Yuri Nakamura (R246 STORY), Maria Takagi (NOROI THE CURSE), Hana Matsumoto, Yuno Nakazono (HANAYOME TO PAPA), Kana Tsugihara (YOMUTOSHINO: DEATH COMIC PART 1), and Masanobu Katsumura (HERO).

The new films were made by a partnership of the production companies Cell, Oz (JU-ON, KAIDAN), and Toei Video Co, with Kadokawa Pictures handling international sales. No word yet if and when JU-ON: BLACKGHOST and JU-ON: WHITE GHOST may be released in America.

A haunted house makes no secret of the fact it is not pleased with its new tenants in this independent tale of supernatural horror. Katie (Katie Featherson) and Micah (Micah Sloat) are a twentysomething couple who've just moved into a new home in San Diego, California. Katie has an interest in the paranormal and believes that malevolent spirits have been following her since childhood, though Micah is not so easily convinced. However, after several nights of loud noises and strange happenings, Micah starts to agree withKatie that some sort of ghost may have followed them to the new home.



After a paranormal researcher tells the couple he can't help them, Micah decides to take control of the situation and sets up a battery of video cameras so that if a spirit manifests itself, he can capture its behavior on tape. This is definitely a movie to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home. Turn off all the lights, put the kids to bed, crank up the surround sound, and put yourself in the actors shoes. This movie is off the charts creepy.

Yes, there are definitely several "come on" moments where that will require you to suspend logic in order to play along. Overall, this movie rocks.

For my wife and I, this was the fourth movie in four days. I saw 'Avatar' in the theater Sunday and was completely and totally blown away. Then, we were tortured, as we slogged our way through the painful experiences of 'Extract' and 'The Goods'. These two mind-numbingly bad movies waste talent and resources worse than the Unites States Congress.

Then last night, 'Paranormal Activity' put a fright in me that I hadn't experienced since I was a kid. I found myself saying a little prayer as I tried to fall asleep. And, when I strangely awoke at 4:44am for no apparent reason, falling back asleep was next to impossible.
Any movie that keeps me thinking about it the next day has on some level succeeded. This movie is definitely better than 'Blair Witch' or 'Cloverfield' or any of the other recent horror entries. I definitely recommend this movie.

Hong Kong movie Review :

A simple romance about a happy-go-lucky delivery boy who pursues a young deaf girl, director Cheng Fen-Fen’s Hear Me is pleasant and well performed, and understandably became a hit in its native territory of Taiwan. Cheng’s previous two features ranged from intriguing (Keeping Watch) to alarming (Finding Her), andHear Me shares some of their flaws. For the most part, however, the film is an improvement if not an outright accomplishment by the promising director. The cynical need not apply, but teens and even not-so-young adults should warm to this enjoyable little movie.

Taiwanese youth Tian Kuo (Eddie Peng of Exit No. 6 and All About Women) is a sloppy but lovable delivery boy who works in a Hong Kong-style restaurant for his nagging parents (Lin Mei-Shiu and Luo Be-An). For reasons initially unknown, Tian Kuo knows sign language, which helps him at the local pool where he sells lunchboxes to hard-of-hearing athletes training for competition. It’s there that the deafYang Yang (Ivy Chen) catches Tian Kuo’s eye. Yang Yang is perpetually dropping by the pool to cheer on elder sister Xiao Peng (Chen Yan-Xi), who trains at the pool and also possesses a hearing disability.

Xiao Peng dreams of competing in the Deaflympics, and her chances are high, as she’s one of the most talented swimmers on the team.Yang Yang helps her by doing everything that’s humanly possible to make her elder sister’s dream come true. She works multiple jobs to make ends meet, including performing some bohemian street theater, leaving little time for anything resembling a personal life. All the while, she’s positive and kind, filial and upbeat, and when she smiles her eyes widen to anime heroine-like levels.Yang Yang is obviously one super sweetheart, so it’s no wonder that Tian Kuo is smitten. The big question: how does he win her heart?

Jagapathi Babu-starrer 'Maa Nanna Chiranjeevi' is another film of his, apart from 'Pravarakhyudu', that is in news. Coming with an emotional story,the film will be released by Visakha Talkies.
